Insight Meditation SocietyBIPOC Sangha (online, BIPOC-only, free): Bi-weekly gathering of self-identified BIPOC practitioners who meditate together and explore the teachings of the Buddha in the light of personal experience

Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat CenterPeople of Color August 2022 Retreat: Designed to empower self-identifying people of color involved in change-making work through silent hikes, meditation, yoga, guided peer-to-peer dialogue in a strong container of emotional safety and trust, gratitude/grief/rage rituals, and other group-work

Courageous Yoga Classes: Led by Queer and Indigenous folks who are advised by BIPOC folks who are committed to embodying the teachings of yoga and learning from Indigenous healing practices. All are welcome, and there will be scholarships available for people who identify as belonging to historically marginalized groups. 


Embody LifeIn Power Women’s Circles: Monthly, drop-in opportunities that include guided meditation, self-reflective writing, and sharing with others

Women’s Wilderness

  • Women’s Backpacking Journey: Led by experienced female instructors, this course is a three-day, two-night backcountry program. This journey is for all skill levels; no experience is needed. Activities include learning backpacking fundamentals, like cooking, camp craft, how to stay safe in the backcountry, and connecting with other women while nurturing relationships with self and nature
  • BIPOC Women Only Upcoming Programs: Trailblazers is an affinity space within Women’s Wilderness created by and for those who identify as women of color. The instructors are women of color with in-depth wilderness training and teaching experience, and a shared passion for the outdoors.


The Center on ColfaxMeditation & Visualization: The sessions are based on Progressive Muscular Relaxation, guided visualizations, and introduction to meditation. The event offers both in-person and zoom options.

Prideful Wellness Self Care Center: Services include: Massage, Reiki, Coaching, Mental Health, and Awareness Consulting. Classes offered: Tai Chi, Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Recovery, and Gentle Yoga

Queer Asterisk:Free regular groups and special events for queer and trans people From dance parties to discussion groups, their programs create opportunities for queer and trans people to gather in spaces that are inclusive and transformative. There is always a counselor or mentor present at their programs to create a therapeutic space

Climate Across the Curriculum (CAC) is a summer faculty training opportunity for CU faculty to broaden their knowledge of climate and plan to implement new climate action subjects into their course work. The development will focus on:

  • Improving climate and sustainability competency
  • Networking with and learning from peer educator
  • Workshopping lesson plans in a supportive space
  • Reflecting on how to navigate difficult conversations
  • Touring campus as a Living Learning Lab
  • Gaining climate pedagogy resources
